A whirlwind tour through all of English literature, covering two semesters of college material in one efficiently designed semester! As such, there will be an explicit bias towards "The Canon" of English literature, and it is acknowledged that the authors covered do not represent the sum of all valuable English literature. Rather, this course will introduce you to the major players of English literary movements through short works or excerpts by the major authors and contemporary critics. Shakespeare, Joyce, Byron, Woolf; English literature's got it all!
