I do not understand how to do problems like this....Can you please help me?

Who cuts more classes -- males or females? To answer this question, Professor Smith recorded absences for a sample of 10 males and 12 females. This is a t test for Independent Samples. Use the CALCULATOR labeled T Test - Sum Stats and enter the mean, standard deviation and sample size for each group. Click CALCULATE. You should see the calculated value of t.
