The Yamaha XMAX 125 is a maxi scooter that is sold in Europe. The XMAX 125 is equipped with a 124cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine. The engine is fuel injected and liquid-cooled. The Yamaha XMAX 125 produces 14 horsepower at 8,750 RPM and 12 Nm torque at 6,500 RPM. It is one of the most powerful 125cc 4-stoke scooter available in the market. It has an automatic CVT gearbox instead of a manual transmission.

The XMAX 125 uses a steel chassis that is derived from the Yamaha R125. It is equipped with telescopic front forks and dual hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. The suspension of the Yamaha XMAX is tuned to perform great on both city traffic and highways. The suspension setup on the new model is slightly on the stiffer side that improves its handling.

For braking the Yamaha XMAX 125 uses a 267mm disc at the front wheel and a 245mm disc at the rear wheel. It is also equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard. The one thing that takes this scooter to whole another level is that it comes with the traction control system. This is one of the few scooters that is equipped with traction control system. It has alloy wheels and durable tubeless tyres that provide superb grip on both dry and wet roads.

The Yamaha XMAX 125 is a top notch scooter that is hrad ot beat. It is priced a little higher but still it rules this segment when it comes to power and new features.
