Welcome to the Course,

I hope you enjoy this course and it will help you improve your English. The course focuses on all skills equally - Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. There is also Grammar Work, Group Work, Museum Visits, Project Work, Internet Research and On-line Collaboration. You will be expected to develop your understanding of conversational and formal English. We will teach you about UK culture and develop your social and communication skills. All students are expected to participate fully in the lessons and activities.

• All classes start on time, please arrive punctually.
• Please come to class well-prepared with your books, a writing pad, your own pen and paper.
• It is also useful to have a good English-English dictionary.
• We expect you to do your homework regularly.
• You must be present for tests on Fridays.
• You must also cooperate with the other international students in your class.

Every Friday we will discuss your learning and progress and you must let me know if you need more help or revision with any aspect of the course. If you do not understand something please speak to me after your lesson. We can adapt some aspects of the course to focus on areas that are more difficult for you. If you have a question about vocabulary or grammar please post it on the message board on this portal. It is important to share our questions so that everyone can work together. I will answer the question on the portal or in class.

The class is an 'English-Speaking' only zone so please respect the teacher and by communicating in English at all times.

We take our work seriously at Leeds Language College and expect all to attend regularly and work to the best of their ability.
